|
|
This probably isn't the most urgent thing, but it seems like the buy and sell categories in the classifieds are a decade or two out of date, and there are more categories than necessary. It makes it kind of tough to use the buy and sell section. Right now they have 7 categories of boards and 5 categories of sails-
Boards:
Wave
Freeride
Slalom
Course
Transition
Longboard
Other
Sails:
Wave
Freeride
Slalom
Race
Other
IMHO there only need to be about 3 categories of each, since you can sort by volume or sail size within each category, and that mostly separates the wave from the freestyle from the freeride, for example. If I was doing it I'd make them like this-
Boards:
1. Wave / Freestyle / Freeride
2. Speed / Slalom / Formula
3. Beginner / Longboard / SUP / Other
Sails:
1. Wave / Freestyle / Freeride
2. Speed / Slalom / Formula
3. Beginner / Longboard / SUP / Other
Just a thought.

I second that...its a pain trying to find something when you have to go look in every category since so much of the stuff overlaps |

I always use the Advanced Search. It includes results from all categories. |

That's nice, but James is still right. And his proposed categories make sense. |

That works when you know exactly what you want, but most of the time I just have a vague sense of size and type and want to see what is available. |

I'm not trying to be disagreeable here, but isn't that what the Advanced Search is for? You can specify a minimum and maximum volume (or width or whatever) and it will show you all the available boards in that range. Maybe I've misunderstood, but isn't that what you're trying to do? |

I would vote to keep Wave separate from Freestyle/Freeride. _________________ _____/)_____

In the 3-4 minutes it took you guys to post these thoughts, you could examine the entire list of wave boards, for example, by brand, size, style, location, and/or price even without clicking column heads to order the listings by a chosen parameter.
KIDS these days!

Nothing ever keeps you from posting though, eh, mike. Even the wind!
We're all so fortunate to have you here, telling us what and how you do everything! Thanks so much! |
