Is this one of the worst stretches of windless days in recent history or is it just me? I have not sailed in almost three weeks and I am getting pissed. Sorry but I had to vent , and only fellow sailors can understand my pain. When you whine to friends or family they just give you that look like you are pathetic. Evil or Very Mad

I saw a few days ago that Suzi-Q had also commented about the lack of wind.

For me, the perceived early onset of Alzheimer’s has had a positive benefit - I forgot what all that sh!t, collecting dust, in the garage was for!

Simple solution: Learn light wind freestyle (e.g. at ABK camps) => have fun every day. SUP sailing would be another thing to do, but I have not tried that yet.

I remember May being one of the better months for wind, with Oct being
the best. And didn't last June suck as well. What's going on here? Now it seems Nov and Dec are the best months?? I guess Mother Nature has put us in our place.

Sailable SUPs, aka Sanity Savers!! Zero knot wind minimum...... Even here, in the East Coast windsurfing mecca, they get a LOT of use!!

Does surfing in the wind constitute windsurfing? You Betcha

A little father and daughter trip turn out to be a solid A session. 1 hour lying down then 1 hour of standing up.

Oh no - off topic - Although I feel my short coming in the IQ department hampers my ability to write and read; I do like slog through 1 or 2 pages a night. The latest is Diamondhead by Cape Cod's part time resident Patrick Robinson. Almost all of his books have a tie to the Cape and / Maine. Read them in order to get the full effect. In addition, I love to hear a story. A couple of recent bios: Custer - He was a real piece of work!, then Churchill - He was a read do-er and a real drinker to boot! But tonight cooking dinner went quickly with Keith Richards - I'm not cut from his cloth, but he's got a story to tell!

Books on tape; no better way to pass the time while commuting to the Cape for a little action!

wave sailing long boards made for planing are even better. been doing the kona, now curve for years and years now. just had a terrific sesh at my local wave spot. despite it being 45 degrees side on, it was a blast.

some folks are sick of me going on and on about wave sailing with planing long boards. i ponder as to why most would rather bitch about a lack of wind instead.
