Thanks for posting the video Sergey! You always seem to capture some good stuff and put it all together nicely, and it's great for troubleshooting when tricks go wrong.

Sergey is using a Kodak Playsport mounted to a helmet... wind speed was in the low to high 20's... most were rigged in the 4.7 to 5.5 range, but some rigged down to 4.2 or got smaller boards as the wind picked up. I was on 4.8 and 89l... fun day! probably had a good 40 people on the water?

Nice video.
I have that same camera. Can you post a photo of how it is mounted to your helmet? Front, top, etc.?
I have top mounted it before, but it makes the helmet wobble because it is top heavy.
It may just be that my helmet is loose.
Thanks.

Hi guys,

Thanks, Kevin!

It is mounted in front, on a GoPro receiver. The key thing between camera and receiver is a custom 3d-printed mount (I lost the model file, but the drawing is attached). It is lashed with a velcro tie and fastened with 1/4 stainless screw in tripod mount hole.

If there is enough interest, I can recreate the model and post it in my shop page - I think it comes out under $50 printed.

No need to recreate the model. I get the idea from the drawing. I can see it keeps the camera low and close to the helmet.

Thanks.

Nice video, thank you!

I think I might need to drop my slalom gear (seen zipping by, literally, around 5" into the movie) and start to jump around and flip and flop and flap!!! Twisted Evil

Very Happy
Bring big board, tiny sail.
It's just as gusty as my first day there, Oct 1983, and my second day there, sometime in '94.

Hi Sergey,

I'm considering getting a Hero 3 and some kind of mast mount and I found yours. Any issue with this working with the Hero 3?

Thanks!
