Which instructor in hood river ?

I need a instructor for my girl friend. She needs help getting her feet in the straps. Looking for a female instructor in hood river. Need a name not just a company. Thanks

Brians daughter teaches windsurfing, shes pretty good as a windsurfer..I think they might still be in jamaica right now

I highly recommend Heidi at Big Winds.

I agree. Heidi C. with Big Winds. She has been in the Gorge since the late 80's, and teaching windsurfing since those early days. She also teaches the free women's jibe classes held throughout the summer. She is also a high school teacher, what better resume than that!

I haven't met Heidi, but have dealt with the Big Winds crew many times... they are always very professional & super helpful, so I'd 3rd the recommendation for Heidi. They do group clinics too, which I think can be a really fun way to learn, but if you go that route, make sure she'll be with similarly skilled people. I know someone who was at the same point as it sounds like your girlfriend was, and she felt she got a little left out in the clinic because most of the other women were far more advanced.

Thanks everyone for the info. We tried heidi last year, she was always booked. This year looks like we have a chance to book her. Yeah my gf needs one on one instruction. She once did a lesson with another company and felt left out.

DEFINITELY HEIDI!!

If you can skip a day of work during the week she may be more available.

She got my wife in the straps after 1 lesson last year. She also always does a 1 day womens clinic at Big winds every year. Give Big Winds a call and get on the list for a call back once she has picked a date.
