Now we're talking!!!...The mouth of the Essex river (Cranes) is one of the best spots to sail in a NW wind. With an outgoing tide, standing waves overhead will rival anything the Gorge has to offer. I have spent many days at the Essex, truely incredible sailing and a secret spot known to very few. Cool

Don't forget Marblehead's Deveroux Beach, gnarly shore break, but a couple of good reef breaks offshore.
I lived and sailed the North Shore for 20 years...now I'm a Cape Codder.

Lake Winnipesaukee is good, locals go off Ellacoya St. beach on west side in Gilford. Of course the ICE sailing there is ...second to none. Very Happy

I have a self designed free skate made from nuclear grade stainless. Used to sail it on Lake Simco north of Toronto. Glad I kept it. Won't hurt to keep it in the truck on the way to NH for winter ski trips.

I spent a couple of days in Newburyport, the mouth of the Merrimac should offer some good sessions.
