5.0/110 ltr wide board. Got it planing before 2 pm once the wind hit 15. Practiced some old school freestyle to loosen up my joints in the light wind.
May need to go bigger sailwise tomorrow, according to the forecast.

Sailed Waddell today. 8 to 10 knots of South wind. I was the only one out. No kiters, no windsurfers, and no surfers. Did have a whale surface about 25 yards from me headed right for me. He was nice enough not to bump me. Fog in all day and would not burn back. It rained (drizzled) on the way home.

I am interested to know what size sail and board you were using. That is pretty cool that you were able to get a session in with the light conditions. Thanks.

Was wondering if it was going to totally fog out and shut down but it didn't.
Sharp gusts and Zoniness but as good as anything so far this year at least there was plenty of power most of the time. A fairly good crowd to .

Old news now but on Friday after slogging out there was plenty of 5.8 goodness in the channel at 3rd. Nice steady pulling thermal wind.

Sunday I sailed a 4.2 at TI and that was perfect for me! I found the wind to be pretty consistent for TI, not the holeyness u sometimes get there. There was pretty good swell too. Not one of the biggest wind days so far this year, but still a very strong day, and good turnout too. I weigh 190lbs and rode 85 L with the 4.2. Good times!

Yeah, TI.......
I chose Berkeley. Sound like a wimpout. Yes, it was.
Sprained left ankle, now 4th year, can't jog. Sprained right ankle, healing from winter. Twisted and swollen medial collateral, left knee, can't walk down stairs.
Why TI? Huge jumps, slashing jibes. Need wheels for landings.
Not the best for this 63 year old. I'd just get in your way after my knee fails, and take away from your sailing time when you feel sorry for me and attempt my rescue.
