Saturday looks sunny, with air temps near 60 degrees and sailable East winds. Time to hit the water, but hope you don't fall in too much.
Water temp is up to 45 degrees, so the 100 degree rule should be met.

Ha! Not worried about the "falling in," but rather the "staying in." Laughing

Use Temira's Gorge forecast at: thegorgeismygym.com She is often more accurate than Iwindsurf and will often tell you the best locations based on wind direction. Probably most important, she often lets you know what time of day for which area so you can plan around your day. I'm not sure the water is 45F yet. I was in 2 1/2 weeks ago and it didn't feel even close to that.

I had short but sweet kite session at the Event Site today, water temp was not a problem at all. Promotion Storm suit with a neoprene rash guard. Hat, gloves & warm booties all a good idea. Hopefully there's good sailing wind at Bob's Beach this weekend. We might be stuck with this cool weather for a while.

Custom NOAA Forecast at Gorge Windsurfing Blog

I started a blog to organize all my forecast links and customize forecasts from NOAA. NOAA, which is pretty accurate--about as much as anyone else--is often the only place to get good coverage of sites outside the Corridor. I was a Far East sailor until this year and NOAA was very useful for Arlington etc. (Stated at the risk that NOAA/Forecasts will now be debated for another 10 pages)

Anyhow, let me know if you have any suggestions for the layout and updates of my blog. I hope to add some content once the season gets underway. I'm not trying to elbow in on anyone's turf, just organizing what is already there and making it a bit more accessible.

Custom NOAA Forecast at Gorge Windsurfing Blog

Thanks,
Chris

I would have thought there be more than three sailors and no kiters at RR on Saturday. Probably the waves crashing on the stairs kept a few people from going out? At least it was warm.

I started midseason last year... whats it like out there in the next couple weeks? Is it heavy med/heavy wetsuit or is drysuit or heavy wetsuit+hood/gloves/etc still?
