Bring it on you slow poke slimeballs ! I'm ready
It’s time again to pull out your calendars and mark down the date for the 2012 Cabrillo Beach Enduro!
August 4th, 2012
Last year’s race had around 45 participants, making it one of the largest races in the Country, right up there with the Nationals and the Calema Mid-Winters. We had some killer prizes as well, including 3 sails, a board, a carbon boom, extensions, fins, and a Baja vacation!!
What? You missed it?? Are you nuts, those are great prizes!! 18 racers won prizes, out of 45 total entrants, do the math, those are pretty good odds! Yeah, the wind was light, but we raced, and had a blast, and had a fun dinner & party afterwards, and supported the sport of windsurfing, and helped the Cabrillo Beach Bathhouse stay open. There’s no down side!
So mark your calendars now, and I’ll see you at the races!

I'll race if you promise not to embarrass me so badly again this year!
I'm looking forward to it. |

Jurg has supported the Enduro with great prizes every year! Thanks, Jurg!! You slowpoke slimeballs should support Jurg by buying stuff from him, www.windsurfdeal.com _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

| I've sailed there twice during the competition. It is great fun. But, this year there is a conflict with the AWT tour competition in Baja. It would be really cool to have the event one week before or after so some of the pros could drop in and COMPETE!!! A whole bunch of them will be flying into LAX the prior weekend. |

Sorry, date's locked in. It's really more of a race for the "everyman" anyway, people like you & me who like to tear around & race their friends. I'm afraid professional wavesailors would be pretty bored with our flat water amateur races. Be fun to see them sail, though!
Maybe Matt Pritchard & Kevin MacGillivray will do another free wave clinic at Leo Carrillo this year? _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

Looking forward to being able to compete.
Sorry, but when is the site gonna get updated for 2012??
Suggestion.. is maybe a less complex site that is easier to update.. I do like the look though and can tell someone spent time and effort on this!!
Thanks! Ben |

Ben: Thanks, my wife Debi built it, I did the posters. As far as updating goes, all we have so far is a "Save the Date", the race isn't until August, so there's not really a lot of updating needed until then. I'll have Debi post it at her first convenience (we do it for free, so it's in her spare time), meanwhile you can see it on www.windjunkie.net/events/events.htm
While you're there, be sure to surf around the rest of our site; there's no advertising or spam, no memberships or fees, just pure windsurfing fun, even a free (silly) game you can play, right on the home page! _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie
