Keycocker, when are you going back to Maui?
GT and Key, you guys are so intellectual. Certainly respectful. I'm a jeans and T shirt guy, but can wow the bankers if needed. They are human too. |

To the many who have been supporters of OWS...........what happened? Is the 99% only angry at the unfairness of the system when it's warm? Those of you who still have the fires of injustice searing your souls may wish to join the 14 other OWS protesters who are marching on the Nigerian Consulate today in NYC. They are demanding the reinstatement of petroleum subsidies in Nigeria. In an admirable cost saving move, they have been able to re-use, with slight amendments, the placards they used earlier this year when they were demanding the end of petroleum subsidies. |

It looks like Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry have decided to carry the baton to Charleston....then hopefully to Florida. |

As usual, the plutocrats dismiss the Occupy movement as having no realistic agenda. A couple of interesting developments not widely noticed in MSM. Quote: | UNION CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- Striking workers at the American Licorice Company in Union City are getting some support from Occupy Oakland protesters this morning.
Police and private security are there as well, making sure vehicles can get through the company gate. The union workers walked off the job December 5, in a dispute over pay and health care costs. About 20 Occupy protesters joined them at the scene this morning and say they will be there all day. |
The strikers, who make $15/hour, are largely Hispanic, and have been there for a minimum of 15 years, eventually accepted the management’s offer of a 30 cent per hour raise, but lost on the issue of paying health care—the company will gradually reduce the amount it spends for health care.
Now tell me how anyone can make a living at $15.30/hour? That’s about $32,000 a year in Union City. Tell me again how everyone that works hard and is loyal gets ahead. |

Here? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. A local MBA student whined in the newspaper that it's the government's responsibility to create a job for him because he has student loans to pay off. Another writer whined that the economic elite are destroying our way of life. One response was this:
"That sound you hear is my head banging against the wall.
Where this side of Berkeley is an MBA student (Jared Moran, Friday, “Student Loans”) taught that the government should create a job for him? It’s certainly not in the Constitution. The only jobs created by the government are government jobs, which increase the budget deficit he wants to eliminate and shrink the economy on which his ability to pay back those student loans depends. By definition, productive jobs belong to the private sector, not the government. Paying off his student loans is his responsibility, not the taxpayers’. Is WSU really teaching him to take from, rather than contribute to, society?
In the next letter, Don Clark says the “Economic Elite” are destroying our way of life. It’s just the opposite: people get rich by providing products customers willingly buy to improve their lives. If a movie or rock or sports star, automobile or toilet paper manufacturer, doctor, or honest stockbroker doesn’t improve our lives, we don’t have to give them our money. Keynes, whom Mr. Clark references, has been proved wrong around the globe for 75 years. After all, how many poor people provide jobs?
Bam! Bam! Bam!"
Occutards says it all. |

If both husband and wife work, that is $64,000 per year. If they are unhappy, why don't they get a good licorice recipe and start their own company. SOME HARD ASS WHO LIKED LICORICE DID IT, WHY CAN'T THEY? |
