My son's new found passion for Balls-to-the-Wall's indoor skate park makes sailing at nearby Kalmus the easy / only choice. It's OK with me because that's where I'd go anyway!
A double up wouldn't too shabby either.

Ron C. how old's your boy? Mines 7 but he charges the ramps for a little guy, Maybe some day lets get em together.
Evans, I got church and a Capverdian family dinner tomorrow in Brockton , otherwise I'd be on it. I've been hermiting in Nahant and getting edgy for a session.

Well Josh, and all, the day went more or less as planned.
Instead of go’n indoors the boys saved some money at did it up at Barnstable’s Rec. Center skate park. The park has a pretty diverse crowd Bikes, boards and scooters. My 12 yr. old son was one of 6+ scooter riders. Along with the usual ramps, it has a double bowl with the bigger one maybe 8 or 9’ deep. The park is run by a couple of the older inmates. One staffer is absolutely sh!t hot on a bike. One scooter rider at 9 is near pro (sponsored) caliber. It’s interesting to see the mix of gear used, the mix of ages, the mix of ethnicity and socio-economic backgrounds all get along getting along fairly well. If your son is a chip off the block, he might teach mine a thing or two. Tomorrow is the last day of the outdoor season.
Balls to the Wall was and is a paint ball place. The latex smell is heavy in the air.
Oh yea, a little bit of sailing did take place at Kalmus. My adopted dad with his bride Gerda on shore, Mr. Flaherty, the “Driver A” father and son team, the “Boardsurfr” husband and wife team (somewhere off shore as I never saw them) the gang which owns the pump house end of the lot, no Drew and a few kiters. The low and incoming tide set up some decent micro wave action out at the first set of bars. My full-on 4.2 session was cut slightly short with an uptick in the wind, exhaustion and a front foot strap screw failure for first time on my 20 year old board. With a little tender loving care and some 2 part epoxy down the thread shaft, it should be ready for tomorrow.
Me on a prehistoric Haut, Dad on an old Tiga(?) against a mix of newer (Flaherty’s mean looking O/O) and older gear; all having a flat out fantastic time – Grade A+
Thanks for reading, RC

Good Morning Dean and all:
In spite of my years on the water, I’m extremely limited in my knowledge of spots. In fact, I never gave that area any attention until Graham’s dad mentioned it last week. Now with your and Peter’s graphics posted, it looks pretty cool.
It would be a great old versus new science experiment to see what speeds I could achieve on that flat section.
A little early, but I’m eyeballing another low tide session on the beach front today.
As for being alone yesterday, not me. We had a good little crowd haniging out on the sand bars; right where your western runs occured.
