Sunday, a powerful thundershower with lightning closeby enough caused 30ish mph winds for about an hour. No one went out thinking it was unstable and were not interetsed in being a conductor for electrons on their way to mother earth. I took this shot, with the lighting the way it was and shooting on my cheap camera from the side, I was able to show the waves. Cameras notoriously flatten the water and I was pleased with this result.

About ten years ago. On a brand new JP Freemove 267 and a matching NP Raf Jet 6.7 Late afternoon sail getting that last few runs in before the sun disappears. Heaven!

Sweet shot there from Brasil!
OK, here's the latest news from Formula Experience:
Nicolas Schreier takes FE South American title
Over 30 competitors from Brasil, Chile and Peru attended the 2011 South American Formula Experience Championships. Hosted by Windsurfing Chile in Algarrobo, it was the first time the championship has been taken to Chile, and with 12 races completed over 4 days it was an great success.
Current World Champion, Nicolas Schreier PER 2, stamped his authority on the championship - winning all his races. Further down the field the competition was very close for podium places. Silver and bronze overall places were only separated on a tie break.
Congratulations to all podium finishers:
Overall results:
1st - Nicolas Schreier PER
2nd - Eduardo Herman CHI
3rd - Jose Miranda CHI
1st Junior - Leonardo Venturini BRA
1st Youth - Gabriel Pereira BRA
1st Master - Cesar Zavala CHI
1st Woman - Bruna Mello BRA
1st Kids - Joaquin Meier PER

Hi.. coyotewindsurf
I've sailed a 2008/2009 chili a few times, but never in really choppy conditions. Only in Bonaire a few times. So it's kinda hard for me to say about it's ability in chop. The chilli is a great board but a little slow compared to the Skate and JP. I also had a really hard time trying to pull off a shaka on the chilli when I was burning through shaka flakas on my 2009 joker and 2011 Skate. The chilli is great at the sliding tricks though.
