There's nothing new about that FoxNews hit piece.
Perhaps reading the actual facts of the matter will be helpful.

Media Matters is frequently cited on this forum as a source of "the facts". Here are the the first two entries on their FAQs.........
What is conservative misinformation?
Conservative misinformation is news or commentary that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda. This misinformation distorts the public dialogue on important issues and obscures the truth.
How can I help fight conservative misinformation?
You can help Media Matters in its mission by letting us know when you see instances of conservative misinformation.
With great respect, this seems no more an unbiased source of "the facts" than does the Sean Hannity show. |

Media Matters makes no bones about its bias. But, it is a credible source, that exists , solely to challenge the lies of FoxNews, as few have challenged their data, and won. If I watch one Hannity show, I'll grab 2-3 untruths. |

Someone's citing Media Matters? They may as well cite George Soros, who contributes heavily to it under his own name and through such shells as the Tides Foundation, Democracy Alliance, Moveon.org and the Center for American Progress.
Source: Politico.com.
Please don't insult Hannity by speaking of him in the same breath with Soros. We can usually independently verify at least the gist, if not always the decimal points, of Hannity's claims. |

It is worthy of note that one of the reporters, Stephen Farrell, has been in this situation before. This from yesterday's Daily Telegraph.
The (2009) mission to free Farrell reportedly also provoked anger among senior Army officers because he apparently ignored warnings from Afghan police and village elders not to venture into the Taliban-controlled area where he was taken hostage.
One senior Army source said: "When you look at the number of warnings this person had, it makes you really wonder whether he was worth rescuing, whether it was worth the cost of a soldier's life."
Then-foreign secretary David Miliband acknowledged that Farrell had ignored "very strong advice" by travelling to the area where he was kidnapped. |
