Just found a cheap flight to Cabo and I'm wondering if there is any camping space in la Ventana at this point in the season? Are there any other properties that allow camping? Thanks for any reports

There's always room for one more in the campground - some people clear out after the holidays - so long as you don't expect the front row . . . for a big trailer and sail shed.

There's another campground south of Baja Joe's that you could check out too.

And there's the arroyo north of the campground too.

I was at the campground yesterday. There are lots of places on the back row near the road and a few place in the middle row. I would recommend driving through the campground and through the new gate to the tiny arroyo right next to the north side to the campground. Lots of sandy camping and you are away from the road and out of the wind. The launch is not as nice as main campground beach but you have faster access to the surf zone 1/8 mile to the north. This is where I launch on days when the surf is not as good at my house N. of El Sargento.

You can also drive past the campground about 500 feet to the north and camp in the arroyo near Wyatt and Tyson. No fees but you don't have as easy access to the campground showers, toilets etc.
