Hi,

I am looking for a solution to store my windsurfing gear in Maui throughout the year, in order to avoid the hassle of carrying my own, damaging it in the airport etc...Any suggestions ?

Thanks !

I retired my trusty '92 Toyota pickup and shipped it to Maui four years ago. It's packed with my W/S gear, snorkel stuff, condo supplies, unused adult beverage[rum and tequila get better with age], beach chairs, cooler, etc. Costs around 900.00 to ship from LA, storage averages 60.00 a month. and I'm constantly turning down offers from locals to buy it for twice as much as I could have sold it for in LA. The coolest thing is getting off the plane and walking out to the lot and driving away in my ol' pal. Registration and insurance are cheap, and it beats the hell out of renting a small storage closet for 400..00 to 500.00 a year. I'm in Maui for three weeks a year and what I save by not renting cars and equipment more than pays the Toyota's expenses. Just a thought. Aloha, Bull

Really none of my business but posting pictures of the car including the license plate. Then listing the contents for all the world to see may not be the brightest thing I've seen done lately. Good luck with this one.

Don't forget the phone # and facility name. I've got my bandana on and crowbar in hand!
