Or just a warm wetsuit with a hood/ or bennie and booties, gloves are optional. I have a 7/5 dive suit which is rated for 45deg immersed. Promotion has a warm suit and hood for sale 6/4mm for $215.

Water 43, air mid 50s peak. 'Sup to you, but especially because it's easy to get caught out there and get swept downwind/downriver in lulls, I wouldn't think of anything less than a dry suit, dry booties, mittens, and hood ... worn by someone else while I did something ... ANYthing ... dryer.
