Anybody windsurfing in Barbados this February? This is my first trip down there and I can't wait!

What should I expect?

I`m leaving for Barbados in 4 days Smile We will be in Silver Sands, expect reef waves, lighter wind (although hoping for something around 20 knots). Where will you be? And when are you going?

I have been going for 15 years.
Just there for a week 15th-24th.
Wind this year is lighter than normal.
Still got out every day with a mix of windsurfing surfing and kiting.
Most windsurf days were on 95 liters and 5.3 for me. A few sessions on the SUP and a 5.3.
Kited 11M with lighter winds.
Waves were small waist to head high
Had a couple of nice surfing sessions as well.

This past week looked windy on the charts.
Seems that the trade winds are settling in.
If it is firing expect head to logo high waves and solid 5.3M (20-25mph)conditions.
It is rarely super windy

I'm going to be down there from feb 20-27. I'm going with my Girlfriend's family so we'll be staying on the west side of the island, but I plan on making the trip down to Brian's shop as often as possible.

It looks like the wind has been around 20 knots for the last couple of days.

If you surf there are some great breaks on the NW corner. They usually need a N swell but can also work if the swell in NE.
Easy to get to if you are on the west coast N of bridgetown.

Just ask around when you get there

I am traveling to Aruba next month but would love to take on Barbados next. I hope to travel there next year sometime. I will continue to watch this post and start making my plans. So excited about it!
