I wondered where the far left had gone. They don't seem to post here, these folks seem to be moderate libs with a couple of mainstream conservatives and one other.
Rush pointed them out to us. They are the players on a football team and some of his lifelong friends. According to him when they dumped him it was actually the far left who dumped him and not his peers and a bunch of large rich athletes.
A few gotchas in the current Pelosicare bill, which will impact the health care of all of you or your family members who live 5 more years:
• Sec 202, pp 91-92: Everyone is required to join a government-qualified health care plan the minute one word, number, or punctuation mark changes in your present plan (they change at least once per year.) Translation for the Pollyannas: YOU SHALL JOIN A GOVERNMENT-MANDATED PLAN. (The word “shall” is a government legal term mandating compliance, subject to punishment of law. There are 3,345 “SHALLs” in this plan.)
• Sec 224 p 118): in 18 months i.e., after the midterm elections), the Democrats will dictate the contents and costs of your health insurance. (For the Pollyannas, that’s like signing a mortgage with interest rate, address, and number of rooms in your home “TBD”.) Any individual earning $44k - $102k will pay 17-20 percent of his/her gross income for coverage. (That alone exceeds our total federal income tax bill at present.)
• Sec 303 pp 167-168: Every ordinary person’s plan will be identical. (e.g., 20-yo men SHALL pay for hysterectomy coverage, and 80-something women SHALL pay for bungee-jumping risks.)
• Sec 59b pp- 297-299: Citizens SHALL prove with every tax filing that they have a government-approved plan, or pay thousands in fines. Illegal aliens are exempt from this clause but not from medical care.
• Sec 412 p 272: Employers shall provide and fund 72% of a gov-approved health care plan for every employee or pay a fine of 8% of their entire payroll.
• The plan cuts Medicare by $500,000,000,000. 45% of doctors polled say they will not accept Obamedicare.
• Sec 302 pp 672-692: You will no longer choose your doctor. An HMO-like cell will dictate and provide your providers for a flat monthly fee. Your PCP will probably be a nurse or physician’s assistant, not a physician.
• Sec 1114 pp 391-393: PAs will replace physicians for all hospice care management.
• Sec 1158-1160 pp 499-520: Costs, and by implication the standard of care, for hospital care across the nation SHALL be reduced to those of the lowest common denominator. i.e., you guys in NYC or Miami will get the same hospital care as Alabama rednecks.
• Sec 1161 pp 520-545: Medicare Advantage cuts to include vision and dental care.
• Sec 1402 p 756: Doctors SHALL dispense care according to government-dictated items and services. i.e., no more individualized health care based on a patient’s actual … you know … NEEDS.
• Secs 399V p 1442, 222 p 617, 2521 p 1379, 2533 p 1437, etc., etc., and etc squared: In short, provide billions of dollars for >100 overlapping old and new social engineering agencies to socially engineer social programs for the social benefit of all socially-minded voters voting for ethnic issues from or for a majority of minorities.
• Sec 305 p 189: Automatically enrolls every uninsured newborn infant in Medicare. In case that’s not clear, it means a kiddo -- or maybe his PARENTS? -- starts paying for its Medicare before Mom gets her feet out of the stirrups.
• At present, this bill does not exclude abortion. Unless it explicitly excludes it, it is covered by default, by law. How do you Catholics feel about that?
And before you whine that "Well, Keith Olberman says McCaughy is nuts", read the bill itself, as I did in part to verify some of these claims, rather than taking Olbermann’s or Limbaugh’s or Mathews’ or Hannity’s -- or for HEAVEN'S sake the AARP's -- word for it. Or check some of the many other credible sources which list and reference many more very alarming requirements in this trillion dollar bill. My first three examinations supported McCaughy's claims as printed in the WSJ, and I got dizzy trying to read whole chapters of the bill, so I didn’t verify every claim; you must do some of your own homework.

The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.

Republicans in Congress were required by our incompetent leadership to vote against this bill for partisan reasons, no matter their personal views, with the threat that their campaign funds would be cut off.
This ruined Republicans ability to improve this bill, a big loss to the rank and file. Same goes for limiting the robbery of the American public through billion dollar bonuses for ruining the economy. Our leaders have been bought and sold.
