Actually I'm looking for the thicker deck covering thickness type foam to finish off a repair I did on my nine year olds board, the white stuff JP uses to cover decks on alot of their boards, any suggestions??

I can sell you a sheet of cut your own 1/4" EVA foam deck pad material. Comes in black, blue, white, grey, red and yellow with textured surface being either diamond, waffle, ribbed, or flat brushed. Just tell me the size you need and I'll shoot you a price.
Here's a pic of the waffle I recently used:
I also sell regrip kits which include boom grip either in black or blue (maybe other colors soon) and includes enough grip for one boom, plus 5 pieces of shrink tubing to shrink over the ends, 1 is just in case you get too aggressive and over heat it and cause it to snap. These kits are $19.95

Hey thombiz,
Nice Board!! i'm sure I will order some waffles soon but do you know a guy named Ariel Alaniz. He's a nice kid who used to work for Don McCormick at the original GulfTech before he sold it to John Chow. Ariel fixed some of my booms like ten years ago and I have more for him, but I cant find him.
He lived in Taft TX,
Do you fix old Gulftechs?
Thanks,
Brian

I've never met Ariel. He acquired most of the stock Gulftech had on hand when they closed shop here in Corpus Christi. It was a wealth of pieces including heads, arms and tails to make up a considerable number of booms. As far as I know, he's never done a thing with them, and they're probably setting in some garage somewhere taking up space or have already been sent to a landfill. About a year after Gulftech closed, I tried repeatedly to contact Ariel with no success. I don't know of anyone who's been able to get hold of him since he acquired the parts back in 2001 or 2002. Sorry.
When Stiffy Poles took over the facility where Gulftech made booms, I was allowed to scavange thru the remaining parts and was able to come up with an odd assortment of arms, a couple heads, and a couple tail pieces. Most of those parts have already been used to repair my own booms, so when it comes to Corpus Gulftechs, there's no help available. _________________ So Long.

Joe, If Thom doesn't have what you are looking for, and if I understand it correctly, perhaps you might look into NSI, Inc.'s product line and that of Astrodeck. Both make great stuff. Astrodeck offers pre-cut waffle products that work great for windsurfing boards. NSI might also continue to sell sheets at retail, but I'm uncertain whether that remains the case.

Joe, Turns out, I'm an NSI dealer, but as Dan says, you can buy directly from them. I might have been able to make maybe $10 on the deal, by helping you and I may have had some insight into installation but you can go directly to the manufacturer as Dan suggests.
Dan, my sail repair business doesn't make much money ever year, even though every year I make between 300 and 400 sail repairs. The local industry depends on me for it's very existance. With no repair person locally, it wouldn't take long for the sport to face some serious issues. You should realize, my sail repair business only clears about $5000 per year. Not much. Every time I try to expand my business by offering products like NSI, someone like you redirects business away from my door. I'm not sure why.
I offered tear repair kits and posted how to repair sail tears on this forum. So far, I have sold 2 kits for a grand total of $50. The profit was probably around $12 total. I offered to sell panel replacement materials and even posted a very detailed "how too replace a sail panel" here in these very forums. I've not sold even a single piece of monofilm. And now, I'm trying to sell some EVA foam. Redirecting business away from my door will likely result in no sale. I'm not sure what it takes to make a reasonable income in this sport. I'm just trying to make a little money so there's some incentive to keep the doors open, maybe even get into a 5 figure income! Breaking a yearly income of $10,000 for once sure would be nice. _________________ So Long.

Thom: I was not aware that you are a dealer for NSI. I even looked on the NSI website just to be sure since you were offering stuff that I figured NSI might manufacture and know of your sail repair prowess, but you are not listed as far as I could tell. I certainly had no intention of directing anyone around your retail effort.
Please know that I try to support all local windsurfing efforts. In fact, I purposefully wrote "If Thom doesn't have" the stuff in order to respect your efforts to help. It was never my intention to step on your toes but, again, I'm sorry that it turned out that way.
Hey Thombiz, thanks for the quick reply, I will send a PM, and thanks for keeping up the effort to provide your services to the community, good things will come back to you, in many unexpected ways at least thats what it says inside the fortune cookie, thanks again
