What teens? I have been windsurfing for three years. The youngest windsurfer I have seen has been about thirty. Most are over fifty. |

Were do you sail, dsj789? At US Windsurfing, we try to invest our resources, limited as they may be, in a way that encourages kids to pick up and continue with our sport.
It's been about 4 years since USW endorsed the Bic Techn o 293 One Design as the best junior platform. Over 50 sailing clubs have joined our idea by investing in their own fleets and integrating it in the their junior sailing programs.

With the kind of nasty personal attacks that Dan Weiss offers here, there's no doubt why teens will shy away from the sport and USwindsurfing. How do they allow such a guy to post and claim he is a representative of their group? |

A frantic homeowner once called the exterminator for assistance with a pest problem. After a time stepping on cockroaches and harassing a few ants, the homeowner was happy. Only the bugs registered a complaint. |

Brucie, it's far more likely that these buffoons scare away the teens:
Rubby
JosephSmith
Jackflash
Sailingjoe
Speedysailor
NoBones
Bones
DanWebster
Rnails
RubberNails
JohnWalsh
RoughRider
JoeMur
...
...
...
...
...and another 65 aliases, more or less, for the same cockroach. |

You're kidding ... right? The PRESIDENT of the USWA, "mac" (Jim McGrath), is the most vitriolic assaultmeister here; he levies far more baseless personal attacks than anyone here, with the possible exceptions of you and the guy who publicly advocates shooting neighbors' noisy pets, Steve Chandler. Those two have the honor of occupying the first two slots in my internet filter. I would never allow my kids or advise friends to join a program anyone like McGrath is involved with. I'd sooner have them work with ACORN.

isobars is a hateful old man suffering from an awful lot of frustration. Being so worked up and bent inside, he just had to let some of it spill out here. Why stop with just mac and me? Why not list all the folks here you hate and readily brag about censoring on your computer? |

Well, that's not very nice, Mike. You contribute to the CGWA. While you know many people here do not agree one whit with your political perspective, would you advocate that they withdraw from CGWA participation merely because you are a member? No one needs to wonder how Katie would like that suggestion if you made it.
There is a big, big difference between the work of both institutions and the people who volunteer on their behalf. Who expects you to like the perspectives about which you approve. But you appreciate the work of both institutions because both advocate for what you enjoy, for the most part. You also recognize the distinction but purposefully choose to ignore it in the exact same way chosen by Mr. Swift. |

Whoa, who caught Isobars misrepresenting his quotes? His response, "plonk" me and call me names. Can dish it out but he just can't take it. Has tried threatening me, but won't respond to any of the actual arguments. Who calls whom names Mike? |
