The great lakes offer a tremendous range of locations and conditions for windsurfers and kiteboarders. a couple of my favorite spots would be:
Point Betsie (Frankfort,MI) - Great, consistent wind. Scenic, near Sleeping Bear Dunes. Day in-Day out most consistent wind in Michigan.
Mackinaw Island (Mackinaw, MI) - Mackinaw Island on it's own is cool, being a "no motor vehicle island," and has great fudge and a great place to go with your family. However, when the wind is blowing through the straits, there's very few better places to be.

| I tried Grand Haven today - around 5pm but the wind kept picking up with waves 2-3 feet. Pretty choppy. |
