A trip report would be much appreciated. Is transportation to and from the island difficult, expensive?

Windsurfing in Boracay is sick during December to March. Nice warm waters and affordable rentals. Food and Drinks are cheap and nightlife is until dawn. If you're too #@#@ up to walk to your hotel then sleep on the beach. It's safe and friendly. Kiters are everywhere...(not a bad thing). Manila to Boracay is $100...it takes 45 mins., beach front rooms on the other side of the island (15 mins. tricycle ride to Bulabog beach where we windsurf is $1.00 or you can walk) is about $80-$150 and way cheaper in Bulabog beach...but not as nice. Try Asiatravel.com. Let's go!

It was a nice trip. I was there a week. I slept maybe 10 hours total. Non-stop action and it was cheap. Sure they closed the airport after a plane crashed on the runway in. The only way out was by boat or seaplane. Totally worth it though.

Any discount for iwindsurf member? I will definitely take up your offer if it's less than the beach hotels on the other side. I will probably need 3 rooms in January 2010
