Lake Isabella access

That's a big ten-four on the Stewards of the Sequoia. We were riding this past weekend and I ran into (not literally) Chris Horgan, Executive Director of the SoS. We can all thank those guys for pulling the covers off this whole issue. Without their disclosure about the proposed closures and limitations of the impending 1979 Plan this might have slipped right by us.My hat is off to their stewardship.WS

Just a reminder .We only have until 4/20/09 to send our comments in regarding the access to our wind surfing areas at Lake Isabella.If you have not sent your comments in please do so by Monday. No response No access.WS

and we will have another chance to speak up in person at yet another meeting, this one on Wed Apr 29 in Kernville, Odd Fellows Hall 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
A new bone to pick with the FS: while they now vigorously enforce the lake use fee rules, they waived said fees for all participants of the Fishing Derby. Say what???
let's give them hell!!

I first sailed Isabella in 1988. IMHO, it's the best lake for windsurfing on the West Coast. This is an extremely important spot to protect...

haven't been to beloved Lake Isabella for many years, but I have many fond memories, and would hate to see this place become restricted.
