T-showers usually have good wind (but gusty) on the leading edge of the storm, and great wind (constant) after. Stay close to shore until you get the 6th sense for the weather. |

Back to the original question.
Keep your outhaul loose, depending on the sail (check tuning instructions), most of mine I only apply 1 or 2 cm of outhaul, keeps the shape in the sail.

Not necessarily. Youre assuming that the sail/rig is planable tuned tight. You can leave your base forward and ease off your downhaul (usually I ease off the outhaul first) to gain more power out of ... |
