Been Winging Hodges on a 5.3, 110 liter board and 2000 front wing. Great spot, lake is open only 3 Wed a month and Weekends. Gusty but nice mellow place

use the smallest sail and shortest, floaty, board you can make work for you. i use a 5.2 wave sail, with a 130 liter, nah skwell 7'8, i weigh 165lbs. this works for me in wind 5 to 15 for sup sailin ...

Get a smaller wave sail (5.5)and a smaller sup board (9'8 and under)as you are relying on the wave to plane,not the sail. This should be good in 10-12 and you will love the smaller gear.

Lake is low but still sailable. Certain areas have exposed stumps etc. Camping is the same.

Normal Cabrillo day 12-22 average 15. If you are efficient you can get away with your 5.4 and 100 liter board. Wind here is gusty and holey. I use a 5.2 and a 99 freestyle board i am 170 lbs. Joe P. ...

If you are moving to California for wave sailing, move to northern California/bay area. The wind in San Diego stinks most of the time. The waves are good for surfing but crowded.

I was up there May 18th and wore a 3/2 and was fine. The lake feels warmer this year than last.
