Fortunately, WW stays mostly in the same spot and can be avoided. Still, it got me good once when trying to slog upwind from lowers to uppers. Pain in the butt. Consequently, I mostly sail lowers.

I use Euro Tendon Uppers. Use em for years and never had a problem. I always do a visual inspection, but on appearance they look fine.
