Sailed in the surf 400+ days and never found reason to tack.

Yet pro windsurfers tack regularly. They seem to have found ample reasons for wanting to reverse course without going an inch down ...

Immaculate timing! Per ABK I usually go around the mast about an "hour" earlier and backwind for stability.

In any event, nice vid. Tacking is the great underrated skill!
