I do both and enjoy them each for different reasons. I find Windsurfing is a much better workout, is safer, and equally exhilarating, but it does take alot longer to master. You can kite in a bit less ... |

I say, of course Ive kited >and do both, but I still like windsurfing more, Its more practical, you dont need a buddy to be with you, you can sail far out, and have infinitely more launching spots. ... |

I do both and still love windsurfing, I started kiting b/c Im in a low wind area, but then realized that the launching spots around me are weak...You really need a sandy beach w/ side shore breeze.... ... |

I too live and sail in CT and the 7.5 SW Retro is the most often used sail in my Quiver. Really like the my small NeilPrydes as well.... |

Sailed only a couple of times in July and once so far in August. L.I. Sound is known for light wind, but this summer has been the worst in recent memory...looking forward to the fall. |
